This term has been overused in the construction industry to the point that some don’t really understand the concept. Value engineering is not figuring out a way to cheapen a project in order to boost the bottom line of the contractor. Value engineering is meeting or exceeding the design criteria for a project while reducing cost for the owner. We believe this is Customer Service. There are numerous contractors available to build projects, but very few focus or care about reducing costs for their clients.
