The Chabot-Las Positas Community College District contracted with PENCON for the “ground up” construction of the Information Technology building at the Las Positas Campus in Livermore, CA. In addition to the standard shell construction and tenant improvement, the project included installation of a new data center complete with three uninterruptable power supplies and back-up generator. Due to the heat generated by all of the equipment, dedicated specialty HVAC systems were required, as well as, a dry-type fire suppression system.
